This log book aims to assist responsible persons of non-commercial domestic premises comply with the law. It includes advice on means of escape, fire alarms, emergency lighting, fire fighting equipment, training and people with mobility needs as well as advice on fire risk assessments and pre-prepared record logs to assist you in testing fire safety equipment in your premises.
This log book could be used for all types of non-domestic commercial premises, such as, but not limited to:
- coffee shops
- retail shops
- pubs & restaurants
- small B&B’s/guest houses
- small educational premises
- small places of assembly
Depending on the occupancy, use, and size of the building, this log book may not be suitable and sufficient for your premises and you may need to refer to your Fire Risk Assessor to ensure you are complying with The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
