Weston Fire Station event success

Hundreds of children welcomed to Weston-super-Mare Fire Station to event that focused on the wellbeing of children in the community.

Teams at Weston-super-Mare Fire Station held an interactive event on Sunday 11 February, attracting hundreds of people with a focus on promoting children’s wellbeing.

The event, hosted at Weston Fire Station, brought together AF&RS’ firefighters and expert Children and Young People team, local organisations and representatives from national charities. Marking Children’s Mental Health week, it served as an opportunity for the community to come together and ensure that every child’s voice matters.

“It was an honour to welcome so many children and their families to our event on Sunday, and what a wonderful event it was.

“Attendees enjoyed the many activities laid on for them, and our community partners took the opportunity to engage with families and each other. I’d like to thank all those who came along, as well as all our of our partners that supported us with this event.”
