In an emergency always call 999
On Saturday, 5th July, Station Manager for Control, Krissy will push her mind and body to the limit in a powerful 24-hour fitness challenge, raising money and awareness for Macmillan Cancer Support and The Fire Fighters Charity, two charities that hold deep personal meaning to her.
The challenge will see Krissy complete a workout every hour, on the hour, over the course of 24 hours. These sessions will vary in length and intensity, designed to reflect the ups and downs of real endurance, rather than a single continuous effort. The challenge is split across three fire stations, with Krissy running wearing full fire kit from one location to the next after every seven-hour block of workouts.
This challenge isn’t just about fitness, It’s about honouring my mum, who has bravely battled cancer over the past year, and supporting the amazing charities that have helped us along the way. It’s also about standing in solidarity with others in our fire service community who have faced the same fight.
Krisstina Foster-Pullen, Station Manager – Control
The event is not just a test of strength but a statement of resilience. With rest only between hourly workouts, and the added demand of running in full gear, Krissy’s goal is to complete 21 workouts and enough distance to push her beyond the 24-hour mark.
Colleagues, friends, family, and members of the public are warmly invited to get involved and support Krissy by joining a workout, running a leg alongside her, cheering her on, or donating to the cause.
Krissy added “Cancer touches so many lives. This is my way of giving back, raising awareness, and showing that we’re stronger when we stand together.”
Supporters can donate via the official JustGiving page, take part at any stage, or help spread the word. Every show of support makes a difference.
