Last month, staff from our Children and Young People (CYP), Diversity, Inclusion, Cohesion and Equality (DICE) and Weston On-Call teams came together to support Broadoak Academy's annual Festival of Culture event.
This annual event looks to celebrate culture & diversity, encourages local community networks, agencies and charities to come together to celebrate the diversity of the community in Weston-super-Mare.
DICE Officer Michelle Biggs said: “Our team engaged with the children to deliver key fire safety messages and the children had the opportunity to view the fire engine and talk to the firefighters about their role in the community.
“We had several activities for the children to participate in as well as meet and greet with Fido the firedog to learn more about our key message of Stop, Drop and Roll.”
