The station was built in 1953 and covers 66 square kilometres. It’s crewed by on call firefighters, some also working as wholetime firefighters on secondary contracts and others in trades or construction.
The station has one fire engine and is a back-up crew for the high volume pump (fire engine) based at Nailsea Fire Station.
