On Sunday, 24 November at 21:46, we were called to reports of major flooding in Yate.

Crews from Yate, Kingswood, Patchway, Weston-super-Mare, Temple, Radstock and Bath responded to the flooding of homes and roads in Yate.

Working alongside colleagues at South Gloucestershire Council, Avon and Somerset Police and South Western Ambulance Service, all properties affected by flood water were searched and although a relief centre was set up nearby, residents chose to stay in their homes or with friends.

Our crews remained at the scene up until 09:00 this morning to monitor the water levels and clear drainage. A number of roads remain closed in Yate and the surrounding area – please visit the South Gloucestershire Council Facebook page for the latest updates.
