Union Street, Bristol City Centre

Crews from Temple, Bedminster, Southmead, Hicks Gate and Kingswood were called at 12:04 to reports of a fire in a retail premises on Union Street in Bristol City Centre.

On arrival, firefighters found a fire on the first floor of the building and used three high pressure hose reels, two 45mm safety jets and two 45mm covering jets to extinguish the blaze. Multiple fans were used to clear the smoke and thermal imaging cameras to check for any remaining hotspots. Six firefighters wore breathing apparatus for safety.

There were fortunately no casualties.

Avon & Somerset Police were also in attendance.
