How to request any other information

There may be times when your information request does not fall under the remit of either Freedom of Information or Data Protection legislation. These other types of requests for information are dealt with by the Information Governance team on a case-by-case basis.

We would need to know:

We may ask for verification from you to ensure you have lawful right to this information, such as a copy of your ID, proof of address, or proof of ownership or tenancy (for commercial premises).

We may require a copy of the policy agreement if it is for information for insurance claims purposes.

If you are acting on behalf of someone else (a 3rd party), we may require a copy of your letter of engagement/authority or copy of your contract with them.

If the information you seek involves another party other than yourself or who you are acting for, we may contact any other interested parties for their feedback in case we need to consider whether releasing the information will have an adverse effect on them or their business. We will consider any feedback provided, however the decision to release any information rests with us.
