We received reports of a smell of burning at an address on Park Row at 13:01.
Crews from Southmead, Bedminster, Hicks Gate, Kingswood, Patchway, Temple, Avonmouth and Pill attended and investigated the scene thoroughly.
Crews found one small fire, which was out on their arrival.
Using gas monitors, the crews checked that the scene was safe. Positive pressure ventilation fans were also used to clear smoke from the building.
The cause of the incident is thought to have been accidental ignition due to food being left on the hob.
