Junction 19-18, M5 Northbound

Crews from Avonmouth, Pill, Bedminster and Portishead attended the incident and found a collision involving one van and one car, with one casualty physically and medically trapped.

Firefighters worked to make the scene safe and gain access to the casualty. Ambulance colleagues were then able to treat the casualty, who was assisted to an ambulance with the help of fire crews.

The incident was left in the hands of police and Highways Agency colleagues.
