Crews from Bedminster, Temple, Bath and Kingswood attended and on arrival found one fire in a rear bedroom of a private dwelling.
We were called to reports of a fire at a property on Cedar Drive at 11:56.
With four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus, crews used two high pressure hose reels and one 45mm covering jet to extinguish the fire. Crews also a positive pressure van for smoke clearance and co-ordinated a positive pressure attack to ensure the safety of the scene.
Neighbouring properties were checked for heat and smoke.
The cause of the incident is thought to have been accidental ignition.
