The Authority collaborates regionally with other Public Sector Organisations and nationally with entities such as National Fire Chiefs Council and Crown Commercial Services. Additionally, it engages in sub-regional partnerships, fostering an open environment for suppliers.
Fair competition is encouraged, welcoming bids from both new and established suppliers. Contracts are awarded based on the most economically advantageous offer. Social Value is an essential consideration and we seek to use small medium enterprises (SME’s) where possible.

Thresholds for contract requirements
- Up to £10,000: No formal requirement, but best practices should be followed
- £10,001 to £30,000: Minimum of three quotations
- £30,001 and above: Procurement and Supplies Team advise most appropriate route to market, including formal tendering and procedures via Public Contracts Regulations where applicable
