Firefighters help treat collision casualties

Badminton Road, Old Sodbury

Two crews from Yate Fire Station responded to reports of a road traffic collision in Old Sodbury involving a car and a motorcycle.

A man and a woman who had both been on the motorbike had suffered suspected spinal injuries.

Firefighters used a trauma pack and assisted ambulance staff in treating the two casualties at the scene before they were taken to hospital.

Crews were detained at the scene for just over an hour.
