A Jack Russell dog has been rescued by firefighters after getting trapped in a disused underground storm drain.
Prince went missing during a walk with his owner, who then could hear the dog barking underground.
When crews arrived on the scene they discovered that the dog had become trapped in the storm drain which had partially collapsed, blocking Prince’s way out.
Crews were joined by the owners and members of the local community and an operation to excavate the storm drain began. They managed to access the drain and Prince was then freed and reunited with his owner.
Apart from being a little muddy, Prince was otherwise unharmed and none the worse for his ordeal.
