Crews respond to lorry fire

M418W Jct 18-19, Tormarton to Hambrook

Crews from Patchway, Yate, Kingswood and Bath were called to reports of a lorry alight on the motorway at 02:15.

On arrival, firefighters found one HGV lorry on fire. 

Using two breathing apparatus, two hose reels and foam, crews were able to extinguish the well established fire. 

The driver of the HGV was on the scene and fortunately, there were no casualties. 

The cause of the incident was deemed to have been accidental ignition.
