Crews mobilised to shed fire

At 06:39, we were called to reports of a shed fire on Sodbury Road, Horton.

Crews from Yate, Patchway, Southmead, Temple, Kingswood and Hicks Gate attended the scene and found a single storey outbuilding well alight.

On arrival firefighters used a turn table ladder and hose layer to extinguish the fire.

The cause of the fire is thought to be accidental ignition.

Faulty electrical appliances, wiring and overloaded sockets cause around 7,000 fires in the home every year in the UK.
