Crews called to deliberate fire affecting 13 vehicles

Two crews from Yate fire station were called to reports of vehicles on fire.

On arrival, firefighters found a fire affecting 12 cars and one caravan.

Crews used two 45mm jets, one high-pressure hose reel and 100 litres of foam to extinguish the fire.

They also used two breathing apparatus for safety.

The cause is thought to be deliberate and police were also in attendance.

About 400 people a year die in accidental fires in the home.
