Child breaks ankle following RTC

A child broke her ankle following a road traffic collision when the airbag forced her feet into the windscreen from the dashboard. 

Crews from Patchway and Southmead fire stations were called to the incident which involved a single-decker bus and a car. 

Three casualties were rescued prior to firefighter's arrival but they remained on scene to make the vehicles safe. 

The female casualty was treated by paramedics and firefighters at the scene but the fire service would like to remind people not to travel with their feet on the dashboard following the incident. 

Police were also in attendance.
