Deliberate fire in farmhouse

Ingst Hill, Olveston

Two crews from Avonmouth and one from Patchway fire station were called to a fire in a two-storey detached farmhouse.

Firefighters found the property well alight, but all persons were accounted for.

Two firefighters in breathing apparatus used one high-pressure hose reel and a 45mm covering jet to extinguish the fire, before using a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke.

Police colleagues were also in attendance and the cause of the fire is thought to be deliberate.
