Multiple crews tackle fire involving discarded timber

Cuckoo Lane, Winterbourne Down

Crews from Kingswood, Yate, Patchway and Temple Fire Stations have tacked a fire on open ground involving bracken, trees and timber. Firefighters in breathing apparatus used multiple jets and hose reels to extinguish the fire over a number of hours. The turntable ladder was also used to apply water above the fire.

The cause of the fire is thought to be accidental.
