Large fire at quarry in Chipping Sodbury

Hanson Quarry, Chipping Sodbury

Firefighters from Yate, Kingswood, Thornbury, Southmead and Avonmouth along with the turntable ladder from Temple fire station have been called to a fire on a conveyor belt at a quarry.

Crews in breathing apparatus are using high pressure hose reels to fight the fire.
