Firefighters have tackled a fire involving a two storey terraced property in Patchway.
Crews from nine fire engines, a turntable ladder and command vehicle dealt with the fire which affected the ground floor, first floor and roof of the property. The roofs of two neighbouring properties were also damagd by the fire. The fire is thought to have started accidentally in a ground floor takeaway business before spreading.
A number of adjacent buildings were evacuated and the southbound carriageway of the A38 Gloucester Road closed as firefighters work to tackle the fire.
One lady in her 50s was treated by firefighters at the scene for the effects of smoke inhalation.
