Fire causes major damage to bungalow

Crews were called to a fire at bungalow and when they arrived found the property well alight.

Firefighters in breathing apparatus used one high pressure hose reel and one jet to extinguish the fire. Crews also used a ventilation fan to clear the property of the heavy smoke caused by the fire.

One 72-year-old woman was treated on scene by paramedics for smoke inhalation.

The fire which caused significant damage to the property is believed to have started accidentally.

Four crews attended from Patchway and Southmead.
