Small fire in computer room at Abbey Wood

Crews were called to a small fire at the Ministry of Defence site at Abbey Wood.

When firefighters arrived they found that alarms were actuating in a four storey building which had been evacuated.

Crews found smoke coming from a computer panel in the computer room located on the ground floor. Firefighters used a ventilation fan was used to clear the building of smoke.

The fire is believed to have started accidentally.

Five crews attended the incident from Temple, Patchway and Southmead.
