Crews tackle well-developed house fire

Rockland Road, Bromley Heath
A house was left badly damaged during a fire.
When crews arrived smoke and flames were coming from the first floor and roof of the property and a call was made to make pumps six.
In total 12 firefighters in breathing apparatus used four 45mm jets and two high pressure hose reels to put the fire out. The Aerial Rescue Pump (ARP) was also used to remove roof tiles and for damping down.
A man was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.
It’s thought the fire started accidentally in the bedroom.
The Red Cross Fire and Emergemcy Support Service (FESS) was also in attendance.
