Crews respond to canoeing incident

Firefighters were called to an incident on the River Avon in which four canoeists had fallen into the water.

Working alongside South Western Ambulance Service’s Hazardous Area Response Team, crews located and assisted three of the males.

Sadly a fourth man, who had travelled downstream, was pronounced dead at the scene.
