Female cut free from RTC

cutting equipmentFirefighters rescued a woman from her car following a road traffic collision.

When crews arrived at the incident they found a heavy goods vehicle and a Ford KA involved. The driver of the HGV was already out and unharmed.

A woman in her 20s was trapped in the KA and suffering from suspected neck injuries.

Crews worked to create more space in the vehicle using hydraulic cutting equipment.

Working alongside paramedics the woman was assisted on to a spinal board and taken to hospital. Her injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
