Castle Farm Road, Hanham, South Gloucestershire
A dog which was trapped on a ledge above the river was rescued by firefighters.
Cooper, an eight month-old Staffie and Whippet cross, had been out for a walk with his owner when he slipped from the embankment onto the ledge, which was around 10 inches above the waterline.
When crews arrived they found the owner, a woman in her 30s, unable to reach the dog.
A ladder was lowered down to the animal and a firefighter climbed down to the ledge. The dog was then carried to safety and reunited with its owner. Cooper was unharmed.
