Park Lane, Frampton Cotterell
Firefighters have tackled a fire involving a pre-fabricated building.
On arrival crews found the well developed fire at the rear of the premises with smoke pouring from the roof space.
Six firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the fire using two high pressure hose reels.
A 41 year-old male and a 43 year-old woman, were asleep inside the property, when a neighbour saw the smoke and alerted them. They were given oxygen therapy for smoke inhalation by firefighters. The man also suffered burns to his hands, but neither went to hospital.
It’s thought the fire started accidentally after a fault with the oil fired boiler system.
Approximately a third of the building was damaged by fire and smoke.
