Crews deal with fire in storage unit

Two Mile Hill Road, Kingswood, Bristol.

Firefighters were called when members of the public reported smoke coming from a building used as a storage unit.

Two crews from Speedwell Fire Station attended and once on scene firefighters found smoke coming from under a roller shutter of the single storey building. Crews forced entry to the property and once inside found a small fire. Two firefighters in breathing apparatus used a high pressure hose reel to extinguish the fire which started accidentally.

The blaze is believed to have started in a metal dustbin used to burn papers the previous day. During the night the fire had reignited, causing smoke to the fill the storage unit.
