Fire damages temporary structures

Abbots Road, Hanham, Bristol

A fire involving a temporary building and a caravan has been tackled by crews.

A series of 999 calls were received from members of the public reporting the blaze in a field close to Abbots Road.

Crews used a high pressure hose reel to bring the fire under control, however extensive damage was caused. The structures weren’t occupied at the time of the fire and it’s not known if they were in full time use.

Investigators believe the fire was started deliberately.
