Memorial Road, Hanham
A woman has been rescued from her car by firefighters after a road traffic collision.
Two cars were involved – a Ford Fiesta and a Hyundai.
The driver of the Hyundai was already out of the vehicle when crews arrived. He was unharmed.
A woman in her 20s was trapped in the Ford Fiesta.
As the airbags on the Fiesta had not deployed crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the seats and glass from the rear window.
Working alongside paramedics, the woman was assisted on to a spinal board and removed from the car via the boot.
She was taken to hospital suffering from suspected neck and hip injuries.
