Police training centre fire – update 10.00hrs

Black Rock Quarry, Portishead

The fire at the police firearms training centre at Black Rock Quarry, Portishead, has been fully extinguished.

Fire crews were able to finally extinguish the final hotspots on Monday afternoon.

Fire investigators from Avon Fire & Rescue Service will now be working alongside Avon and Somerset Police to establish the cause of the fire.
