Woman rescued by AF&RS hovercraft

AF&RS hovercraftA woman needed assisting to safety after getting stuck in the mud.

Firefighters were called to reports of a group of people in trouble and on arrival found the party of five with one female suffering from an asthma attack.

Two members of HM Coastguard were on board the AF&RS hovercraft and were able to assist the female with first aid.

Crews were then able to assist the female on board the hovercraft and take her to the shore where an ambulance was waiting to treat her.

AF&RS would like to remind people to take care when exploring the North Somerset coastline. Always make sure someone knows where you are going, don’t venture out too far and check the tide times.
