Firefighters have dealt with a fire at a disused hotel in Weston-super-Mare.
Crews were called after smoke was seen coming from the third floor of building. Three fire engines and a turntable ladder from the town’s fire station were called to the scene to tackle the blaze.
Firefighters in breathing apparatus used hose reels and a jet to extinguish the fire which was had broken out in bedroom in the former hotel. Crews then carried out a search of the building to ensure there was no one still inside.
After the fire was put out crews returned to the site during the evening to ensure no hot spots remained. The fire is thought to have been started deliberately.
