Dog rescued from cliff

A fire engine leaving a station in response to an emergency callFirefighters rescued a springer spaniel which was stuck on a 30-metre cliff above a disused railway line.
The dog’s owner had already been rescued by police prior to the arrival of firefighters.
Crews from Temple and Winscombe attended.
They found the dog trapped on a ledge some 20-feet down.
Members of the fire service’s rope rescue unit successfully recovered the dog, which was uninjured, and reunited it with its owner.
Crews were detained at the scene for around 55 minutes.
