Firefighters have rescued a man from his vehicle after a road traffic collision on the motorway.
When crews arrived they found a Peugeot vehicle on its side and a man in his 40s trapped inside.
Working alongside paramedics and crew from the air ambulance, firefighters used ladders and ropes to create a bridge over a rhine in order to access the vehicle which had left the road.
Firefighters then assisted paramedics to help the man on to a spinal board. He was taken to hospital by road ambulance suffering from suspected back and head injuries.
