Man cut free from RTC

A370 Clarken Combe, Long Ashton

Firefighters have cut a man from his car following a road traffic collision.

When crews arrived on the scene they found the 20 year-old trapped in a Vauxhall Tigra which appeared to have rolled twice.

The man was conscious and breathing but firefighters quickly stabilised the car and used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the roof which they then peeled back to access the casualty.

Working alongside paramedics the man was then assisted on to a spinal board and taken to hospital by ambulance. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

The road was closed while the incident was ongoing.
