Crews called to wheelie bin fire

Crews from Weston-super-Mare responded to reports of a fire at 23:25.

On arrival, crews found four wheelie bins well alight.

With one high pressure hose reel in use, crews were able to extinguish the fire.

Also in use was a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots.

The cause of the incident is thought to have been deliberate ignition.

On average, 89 fire-related accidents and injuries occur on boats every year.
