Crews mobilised to fire at residential property

Barns Close, Barrow Gurney

Crews from Bedminster and Temple were called at 02:50 to reports of a fire at a residential property.

On arrival, firefighters found a fire in the log store outside the property. Crews used two high pressure hose reels and two 45mm safety jets to extinguish the blaze. Four firefighters wore breathing apparatus for safety.

A thermal imaging camera and gas monitor were also used.

All persons were accounted for and there were fortunately no casualties. Our ambulance colleagues were also in attendance.

The cause of the fire is thought to be accidental ignition.
