Pregnant cat rescued by firefighters

Brookland Road, Milton, Weston-super-Mare

An inquisitive pregnant cat has been rescued by firefighters after getting stuck in a four inch gap between two extensions.

It appears the animal, called Mrs Dillon, became stuck after investigating the gap between two properties and was unable to turn herself around due to her pregnant belly.

As she had no collar on, firefighters were unable to get hold of her from the end of the buildings. So, with the owner’s permission, they went into the kitchen of the house and made a hole in the wall, approximately 10 inches by 24 inches. They then were able to reach in and get Mrs Dillon out.

She was checked over by the RSPCA, who were also in attendance. She was then reunited with her owners, a little dirty, but otherwise unhurt.
