Netherways, Clevedon
A fire in a shed being used as outdoor kennels has claimed the lives of three puppies.
Crews from Clevedon and Nailsea fire stations responded after a number of emergency calls were made by members of the public reporting the fire.
Once on scene firefighters found a fire involving a garden shed which had been converted into outdoor kennels. Crews used two high pressure hose reels to bring the fire under control.
Six puppies were inside the kennel when the fire broke out. Their owner, a man is his 30s, suffered burns to his hands rescuing three of the dogs, however three other puppies could not be saved.
The fire is believed to been started accidentally by a heat lamp inside the shed.
