Crews attended a fire involving two semi detached properties. Firefighters in breathing apparatus used three high pressure hose reels and two jets to tackle the fire which was located on the first floor and in the roof space.
The turntable ladder was used to allow firefighters to reach the roof of the building. Crews remained on scene checking the roof for hot spots.
All persons were accounted for and there were no reports of any injuries. Crews assisted occupants with the removal of their belongings and the red cross emergency team also attended to offer support to those affected by the fire.
The property where the fire originated suffered extensive fire damage on the first floor and in the roof space. There was also heavy smoke damage throughout the property. The second property suffered some smoke and water damage.
Several crews attended the incident from Clevedon, Nailsea, Portishead, Weston-super-Mare and Bedminster.
The fire is believed to have started accidentally.
