Driver released after collision

A lady in her 20s was freed from her car following a collision.

Three fire engines from Blagdon, Winscombe and Weston-super-Mare attended after the vehicle left the road and entered a ditch.

Crews worked alongside the ambulance service to provide first aid before rescuing the driver from her car. Firefighters were able to release the door before removing the lady on a spinal board.

She was then taken to hospital by the ambulance service.
