13.31hrs Brunel Road, Nailsea

Firefighters have tackled a fire which started in the kitchen of a house.

Three crews from Nailsea and Clevedon fire stations were called following reports of smoke coming from a house. Once on scene firefighters in breathing apparatus tackled the blaze in the ground floor kitchen using a high pressure hose reel.

The fire caused damage on the ground floor and smoke damage elsewhere in the house.

No one was in the house at the time of the fire which is thought to have started accidentally by an item left on a hob.
