Woman’s hand freed by firefighters

Bristol Airport, Lulsgate, Bristol

Firefighters freed a woman after she became trapped by the hand underneath a vehicle.

Crews were already on the airport site taking part in training when the call to respond came in, so were able to get to the incident quickly.

Once on scene they found a woman, thought to be in her 30s, with her hand trapped underneath a tele-handler vehicle which had toppled over.

Firefighters used hydraulic spreaders to lift the vehicle and free the woman’s hand. She was handed over to paramedics before being taken to hospital.
