A woman has been rescued by firefighters following a road traffic collision.
When crews arrived on the scene they found a Chrysler car on its roof and the 80 year-old female driver trapped.
Firefighters quickly stablised the vehicle, then using hydraulic cutting equipment they were able to fold back the roof of the car and access the casualty.
Working alongside paramedics, crews assisted the woman on to a spinal board and she was taken to hospital with suspected leg, arm and chest injuries.
A second female, in her 50s, was also in the vehicle at the time of the RTC, however she was able to get out safely before crews arrived.
The road was closed while the incident was ongoing.
