Crews deal with barn fire

Clevedon Road, Portishead

Firefighters tackled a fire involving a large quantity of hay and farm machinery in a barn.

When crews arrived the barn, measuring 25 metres by 20 metres, was well alight.

They used three 45mm jets to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire is unknown.

6,000 fires a year are caused by children under the age of 10.
