Two people rescued from house fire

Milton Brow, Worle, Weston-super-Mare

Fire engineTwo people were rescued from a house fire by firefighters.

When crews arrived at the incident the male and female, both in their 20s, were still inside the property attempting to deal with the fire in the kitchen.

Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the house and rescued the occupants before dealing with the fire using a CO2 extinguisher.

The couple were taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.

It’s thought the fire started accidentally after cooking was left unattended.

Avon Fire & Rescue Service would like to remind people to take care when cooking and never leave it unattended as it can catch fire.

Firefighters also fitted smoke detectors in the property while on scene.
