Pump Square, Pill
Firefighters dealt with a well-developed fire in the grounds of a public house.
When crews arrived on the scene they found a large quantity of timber and insulation well alight. The fire was also spreading to the nearby building, which is used as a public house.
Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two high pressure hose reels and a covering jet to bring the fire under control.
Smoke and fire damage affected the ground and first floors of the building.
Fortunately no one was inside at the time and no one was hurt.
An investigation into the cause of the fire found it was started deliberately.
